However, Camp Alagar spokesman Supt. Lemuel Gonda said the explosion damaged two vehicles: a Mitsubishi Montero Sports, bearing plate no. ANA-6655 owned by PO1 Jenefer Condino and a Daewoo Lanos, bearing plate no. KFZ-579 owned by PO2 Romeo M. Arcilla Jr.

According to their initial investigation, Gonda said Arcilla and Condino, who are members of their Drug Enforcement Unit in Maramag Municipal Police Station headed by Chief Insp. Edward Agpalza, were in their safe house in Purok 3 planning a buy-bust operation when they suddenly heard an explosion.

Witnesses said they saw two male suspects onboard a “skeleton” type of motorcycle without a plate number stopped by the highway and planted the bomb before speeding away.
