I am sure, just like me you have come across a variety of backpacks that somewhat gave up on you at the most crucial moment, or simply just wasn’t enough for your daily use. Luckily, during Herschel Supply Co’s opening of its standalone store, I was one of the lucky few who got a chance to own one of their bags and experience it for myself.
During their grand opening at the 1F of Centrio Mall here in Cagayan de Oro city, in February I wanted to put this (bag) to the test in so many ways – so I did just that.
In my line of work I need something to store my gadgets safely and securely without worrying of it being damage, and after weeks of never-ending use it stood firm; It survived being thrown in the sands, getting soaked, and I even accidentally dropped it with my gadgets in it, and it proved that Herschel isn’t just your regular backpack it can really take a beating.
As a journalist we are always on-the-go constantly moving from one event to another looking for that new story, new events, and new places, this is where it really comes in handy for me.
MY BAG EXPERIENCE
I chose a backpack instead of a sling bag, simply because I carry around a lot
of stuff such as newspapers, laptops, tripod, camera, and other gadgets I need
for my job. I chose Herschel’s limited edition Independent Trucks backpack for
its versatility, and on top of that it’s easy and comfortable to carry.
It’s light and has pads that protect my gadgets from being damaged and soaked, has great side pockets that can store either a water container or anything that fits it depending on the occasion; a zipper that’s smoothly unzips and a spacious interior separated by a laptop sleeve that protects it from constant shaking from walking or running.
Same with other Herschel products it’s stylish, tactical and versatile; it’s a multipurpose bag that can be used regularly in school, outdoor activities or for traveling.
Herschel Supply Co. not only sells backpacks, it also offers a variety of products to chose from it has wallets, duffle bags, sling bags, luggage, caps and other apparels and are all available in different sizes.
The Brand
Herschel Supply Co. is a Canadian manufacturer of hipster retro backpacks and accessories. The company was founded by Lyndon and Jamie Cormack in 2009 and is based in Vancouver, British Columbia. It expanded quickly and featured 10,000 points of sale in 2016. Slate described the brand as “a global phenomenon, glimpsed wherever hipsters dare to tread.”
