Cagayan de Oro City — Outstanding achievements in both traditional and non-traditional missions have won for the Tactical Operations Group (TOG) 10, Philippine Air Force (PAF), based here, the “TOG of the Year” Award for 2015.

“This, as the unit’s performances are reflected in its lifelong investment of sincere service and dedication to the country, and winning the hearts and minds of the people in pursuit of national development and everlasting peace,” Lt. Col. Leo Fontanilla, TOG-10 Group Commander, said.

Composed of men and women of PAF in Northern Mindanao and Caraga Region,  TOG-10 includes units from the  723RD SPOW, 505TH SRG, 300TH AISG, 900TH AFWG, 8TH ARCEN and the contingent from the 15TH SW, who have worked together in unison to attain its desired output and outstandingly performed its plans and programs for Calendar Year (CY) 2014, Fontanilla said.

Meanwhile, as recognition for its collective effort, all TOG-10 officers and enlisted personnel were awarded with the Military Merit Medal or “Triple M” Award, for which the unit was awarded the Commanding General (CG), PAF Streamer for TOG Category, CY 2014 during the PAF’s 67th Founding Anniversary, early, this month.

Another display of TOG-10’s solidarity and collected efforts was recognized with all its personnel awarded with the Philippine Republic Presidential Unit Citation Badge for the security operations, humanitarian assistance and disaster efforts during the Zamboanga Siege in September, the Central Visayas earthquake in October, and the Eastern Visayas onslaught of Typhoon Yolanda in November of 2013.
