Firefighters first responded to a fire alarm at the house of one Elsie Galon along Del Pilar-Capistrano streets.

The blaze totally destroyed the entire house including all the resident’s belongings.

Rachel Galon, Elsie’s cousin whose house is just adjacent to Elsie told Gold Star Daily that she suspected the conflagration was the result of a lighting that struck the house.

Fire investigators estimated  the  structural damage to P200 thousand.

Meanwhile, as the firefighters were busy putting out the fire, another fire incident occured at Gaisano Mall located at CM Recto Avenue.

Fortunately, store personnel had already stopped the fire before firefighters arrived.

Fire Officer 3 Sam Vilarde, Bureau of Fire and Protection Rescue Unit head, said the supposed blaze happened at the forth floor of the building.

He said the smoke originated inside an empty bodega of the same floor.
