The truck was used as a barricade so that buses would not pass through the highway as the road proved dangerous. There is a sign in the area to give notice to the effect.

Borja told reporters that as of presstime identities of the men who could have done such act were not yet known even as he voiced his suspicion that it could be “a contractor” who was responsible for it.

He added that before said incident, City Councilor Simplicio Larrazabal III asked him that trucks be allowed to pass through it because of the present woes the city is experiencing.

Borja said that if he does that, meaning letting the buses pass through the C-3 road, he would be violating a court order. To note, the said C-3 or circumferential road is an alternate highway so that vehicles, specially the buses could pass through it, thus easing traffic in the city.
