Vendor partners of Globe Telecom have joined the telecom company’s volunteering program through a back-to-back meal-packing activity with Rise Against Hunger (RAH) Philippines, a branch of the international hunger relief non-profit organization that coordinates the packaging and distribution of food and other life-changing aid to people in developing nations.
Fifty employee volunteers from Asticom Technology Inc., which provides shared services to Globe, packed 50 boxes filled with 1,800 meal packs that would benefit victims of recent typhoons.
“It feels great to be part of an activity where we get to help people in Visayas and Mindanao. In the Ber months, these areas get affected by typhoons, so it feels great to share donations and exert our effort in this activity,” said JM Lachica, Asticom Recruitment Officer.
On the other hand, 36 employees from Wuhan Fiberhome Technologies Philippines, Inc. packed and distributed meals for 180 kids in Barangay Fort Bonifacio’s day care center, one of the four facilities in Taguig under the RAH feeding program. Fiberhome is a partner of Globe in building fiber infrastructure to support the rollout of its fixed broadband lines.

Globe is an active supporter of RAH which has been fulfilling its commitment to end hunger across the globe for 20 years. RAH produces healthy food packs for calamity response and facilitates packing activities to enable large groups of volunteers to take part in relief operations.
