In an interview with the Gold Star Daily, Thursday, Misamis Occidental provincial police director, Senior Supt. Leony Roy Ga identified the ambush victim as one Ranulfo Paglinawan. It is still not clear if Paglinawan is already stable in the hospital as of this writing.

Paglinawan is the barangay chairman of La Victoria in the town of La Libertad, Zamboanga del Norte.

Ga said Paglinawan was driving his motorcycle enroute to Barangay Maligubaan, Concepcion town on Nov. 9, 7:00 am when suspects ambushed him. There were two spent bullets of a .45 caliber pistol when police authorities combed the crime scene.

The provincial director has ordered Concepcion chief of police P/Insp. Bobby Matugas to investigate the incident.
