THE Cagayan de Oro Water District (COWD) will soon start an expansion project that would provide 159 households at the Mahogany Relocation Site in Calaanan in Canitoan with potable water.

The “Expansion of Level 3 Water Supply System” project is part of a P63-million rehabilitation and reconstruction program in the city that is being funded by the Local Water Utilities Administration (Lwua).

COWD said the project is expected to be completed in 118 days at a cost of some P7.644 million.

The project includes the installation of 150mm, 100mm and 75mm water distribution lines with 16 meter stub-outs.

The groundbreaking ceremony os scheduled tomorrow morning. Expected to grace it are Mayor Oscar Moreno, Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin Uy, city councilors, Canitoan officials, and COWD officials. (pr)
