SOMETIMES we have to sacrifice our conveniences for the safety of greater good of many, Mayor Oscar Moreno said in response to city hall’s decision to cut of all cell phone networks throughout the city during the recently concluded Higalaay festivities.
“Nakasabot ako, when I gave the instruction that there will be inconvenience to the people. Gani ako mismo I have to bear the inconvenience kay mismo akong driver dili na nako ma-contact. Pero sige lang ingon ana man gyud ang kinabuhi, sakripisyo ka sa imong kaugalingon, para sa pangkinatibok-an nga benipisyo,” Moreno said.
This, even as he thanked the residents for taking the inconveniece the signal blockage caused.
According to Moreno, he studied the decision to cut-off signal across the city carefully before he signed the letter request to the National Telecommunication Commission last week. (Nitz Arancon)
