THE Department of Education (Deped) yesterday started the week-long campus clean-up campaign “Brigada Eskuwela 2015” in the city in preparation for the start of the school year next month.
The education department also announced that classes from first grade to high school would start this June 1.
Students, members of teachers-parents associations, police officers, firemen and other concerned groups gathered yesterday to help the Deped in the clean-up campaign.
“Sa June 1, magklasi na gyud ta, dili kay ayha pa kita manglimpiyo sa campus ug mga classroom anang adlawa,” said City Central School principal Celso Pagulon.
The clean-up drive would be carried out until Saturday.
Aside from cleaning campuses, water and electrical connections are also being inspected. –nitz arancon
