I watched its Youtube video on Sunday night and my heart was bursting with pride and joy for being Pinoy. Had the Dilawan helped in planning the SEA Games instead of criticizing it even before it could start, they could have joined the celebration and savored the feeling of a proud and joyful Pinoy, too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\n<!-- Insert ads reponsive -->\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\n     style=\"display:block\"\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-2715243983415234\"\n     data-ad-slot=\"7127219742\"\n     data-ad-format=\"auto\"\n     data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script>\n\n\n\n<p>Every country\u2019s\npolitical scenario has an administration and an opposition since the latter\ncould only wish they\u2019re sitting on the presidential throne instead of sitting\non a throne in a confused restroom that\u2019s now for all\u2014male, female, LGBTQIA, etc.\u2014to avoid accusations of discrimination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An organization is like\na country, too, with an administration that\u2019s focusing on accomplishing the\norganization\u2019s goals, and an opposition that gossips about anything the\nadministration does, but it\u2019s not because the opposition wants to take over\nsince that requires loads of voluntary work, but because they want the\nadministration to fail as much as they did when they were in-charge once upon a\ntime\u2014it\u2019s crab mentality at its worst. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dilawan sees\nnothing but only the negative side of President Rody Duterte to the extent that\nit almost looks like the Dilawan is forcing himself to dig up all the\nnegativity that he can accuse Duterte of. Well, that task is not exactly\ndifficult\u2014all it takes is one alleged extrajudicial killing of a suspected drug\nuser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Allegations and\nsuspicions are <em>di-tiyak<\/em>, which was one of the terms used a long time ago\nfor the LGBTQIA community. At the \u201cDivorce, Sogie and Gay\nUnion: Why? and Why Not?\u201d conference last Saturday held at Chali Beach Resort\nand Conference Center, Cagayan de Oro, my seatmate asked, <em>Unsa gani meaning\nana?<\/em> And I replied, <em>Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex\nand Asexual<\/em>. She must have thought I\u2019m a genius for memorizing the\nacronym\u2019s meaning. Should I have told her I Googled it? Hmmm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSogie\u201d is another\nacronym that needs to be Googled. It stands for Sexual Orientation, Gender\nIdentity, and Expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ansel Beluso was one of\nthe speakers at the conference. When my cousin, Dr. Therese Borromeo-Lumicao,\ninvited me weeks ago to the conference and she mentioned Beluso, it so happened\nthat I had watched a video of his showbiz talk show with Aster Amoyo where the\nyoung Karla Estrada was a guest, making me notice for the first time that her\nson, Daniel Padilla, is her carbon copy\u2014he is her male version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beluso was then a\npopular talk show host, along with Inday Badiday. Yup, these memories are\nmaking me feel old. Hehe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beluso now describes\nhimself as an ex-gay. Another speaker at the conference was Atty. Jo Imbong who\ntalked about marriage and said there should be no ex-husband or ex-wife since marriage\nis sacred, much like there\u2019s no ex-father, ex-mother, ex-son, and ex-daughter.\nAnd my thought bubble immediately recalled the scene in \u201cStar Wars Episode V:\nThe Empire Strikes Back\u201d where Darth Vader tells Luke Skywalker, \u201cNo, I am your\nfather.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beluso has been married\nfor 18 years now and has three sons. He said that the orientation is not a sin;\nit\u2019s the behavior\u2014when an LGBTQIA member engages in\nsexual activity with the same sex\u2014that\u2019s a sin. I gotta feeling the LGBTQIA community will be confused with that since sex\nis considered as the ultimate expression of love. But sex can also be used as a\nmere R&amp;R for both heterosexual and homosexual encounters, as easy as other\nstress-relieving outlets like exercise, prayers, communing with nature, reading,\nwriting, eating, smoking, drinking, drugs, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last Sunday, the World\nAids Day 2019 commemoration held at Ayala Centrio, Cagayan de Oro had a person\nliving with HIV giving his testimony. He admitted to having unprotected sex\nwith men and also using drugs, which could be the worst formula since drugs\ncould make one forget about safe sex and even the names and faces of sex\npartners. So, how to trace the sexual history back if there\u2019s now a need to\ninform them all about his HIV diagnosis? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LGBTQIA, HIV, and Sogie are sensitive topics as people\nare careful in not being accused of discrimination. But let\u2019s go back to\nDeluso\u2019s emphasis on the difference between orientation and behavior. Everyone\nand almost everything on Earth have rights such as human rights, animal rights,\nand environmental rights. A believer in God may tend to refer to Genesis and\nthe Garden of Eden where He told Adam and Eve to \u201cgo forth and multiply,\u201d which\nhas become one of the bases of arguments against same-sex marriage, that God\ndidn\u2019t advise Adam and Adam, or Eve and Eve to \u201cgo forth and multiply.\u201d But\nthat was in the Garden of Eden where Adam and Eve were the only human beings\nthat existed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Science, however, can\nmake things possible, including literally turning Adam into Eve and vice versa,\nexcept that a former Adam who\u2019s now Eve cannot have babies yet.
