This Sept. 22, 6 pm, local writers collective Nagkahiusang Magsusulat sa Cagayan de Oro (Nagmac) will organize the September installment of this city’s premier literary event, CDO Poetry Night at SM Downtown Premier.

Themed “Fragile Things,” the event will also consist of spoken word performances from Nagmac member-fellows, launch of debut single “Damgo” by synth pop indie band Alunsina, live poetry, prose, and play readings, and an open mic contest. Bulawan Books, the indie press of Nagmac, will also launch two of its latest chapbook titles written by two homegrown fictionists — Raymond A. Ybañez’s “Ang Pagsasara: Mga Kuwento” and Gari Jamero’s “borrowed semi-truths.” Copies of both chapbooks will be available for orders during the event.
