Unlike Libre Paseo, the running tour is intended for participants to discover the city’s different tourism sites through a sightseeing activity from the bus.

The City Running Tour also accepts walk-in participants from all walks of life on specified schedule. A maximum of 40 participants will be accommodated each day.

The first tour group was composed of students from Zamboanga City High Schoolmain.

Students from the Zamboanga City State Polytechnic College joined the combined delegates from Pilar College and Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology.

The running tour trips will be available for everyone, on a first-come, first-served basis.

The tour kicked off at the Sunken Garden going to Paseo del Mar, Plaza del Pilar and Fort Pilar Shrine.

From there, they cruised to Pasonanca Park, passing through the famous Tree House, swimming pools, Jardin Maria Clara Lobregat and going up at Mayor Cesar Climaco Freedom Park in Mount Abong-Abong.

From the Pason anca area, they traveled to the Yakan Village, La Vista del Mar and finally returning to their kick-off point via R.T. Lim Boulevard.

City tourism officer Sarita Hernandez said those interested to join may contact her office at (062)992-30-07 or visit them at the Sunken Garden, downtown.
