Barangay Chairman Tuso was one of the 43 barangay captains of Butuan City recommended by the City Prosecutor’s Office to face charges of perjury and unjust vexation after acting Assistant Butuan City Prosecutor Bomediano found probable cause in the complaint filed by Butuan City Mayor Ferdinand Amante, Jr. that the filing of anti-graft cases against him were malicious, no basis and insufficient of evidence.

Tuso is the third barangay chairman who are openly supporting Lagnada to be arrested after authorities seized from them firearms, ammunitions and illegal drugs—shabu.

The first to be arrested was Barangay Chairman Angelo Atupan of Barangay Babag and Barangay Chairman Antenor Villamor who was even found positive in drug test for using illegal drugs shabu.
