Butch Bagabuyo “Young men are fitter to invent than to judge, fitter to execution than for counsel, fitter for new projects than for settled business.” – Francis Bacon YES, in the initial meeting of the core group of the volunteers for Team Du30-Cayetano held over the weekend, the convenors unanimously decided to launch the Federal Mindanao Movement (FMM). The volunteers, using their own funds, would meet weekly to find ways and means mainly to inspire the youth and the young at hearts to carry our team, Du30-Cayetano, to a stunning victory come May 9, 2016. Our confidence is buoyed by the uncontested fact that Mindanao’s time has come. To repeat Victor Hugo’s immortal truth: “An army can be stopped but not an idea that has come of age.” To ensure that everybody is reminded of the compelling truths, please allow us to restate:
  • In the last 80 long and excruciating years that our country has had national elections, Mindanaoans have always been left out of the race. Not only that, in the beginning, circa 1935 until the ruthless dictator from the north Ferdinand E. Marcos, it was always a North and South team but always excluding Mindanao, except at the height of our illustrious statesman from Mindanao, the late Vice President Emmanuel N. Pelaez, truly the best president the Philippines never had.
  • All the four other presidential bets volunteered themselves as the presidential candidate of the four other political parties kuno (meaning a political party only in name and not by deed ). Worst, even before his seat warmed up as Vice President, Jejomar Binay, vainly believing that the presidency is for the swift, proudly announced far and wide as a presidential wannabe.
  • Of the five presidential candidates, only Davao Mayor Rodrigo “Super Digong” Duterte is the true clamor by the people. He is, in fact, the only hesitant and financially challenged (by choice) presidential candidate; he is the one and only presidential candidate who has been offered huge financial backing by business tycoons. But despite his lack of personal funds to run a national campaign, “Mr. Punisher” has politely yet emphatically turned them all down.
  • Trembling at the thought that Imperial Manila’s reign of unconscionable graft, corruption and plunder is headed to its grave, the trapos and the filthy rich through their so-called scientific survey kuno commenced early their malicious lucrative trending business by coming out with statistics kuno that the coming elections is a fight between the moneyed known for squandering peoples’ money: Binay and Mar Roxas, excluding the people’s uncontested choice, “Super Digong” Duterte;
  • Only the Duterte-Cayetano team and none other has pledged that they would, without fail, change governance in our country within six months from the worn-out-scandalidden presidential type to the only system where every state is sovereign yet within a federal form of government, thereby spreading and ensuring progress to every state in accordance with its own work-style or constitution unlike today when only Imperial Manila syphons off all the resources and gives back to the locals crumbs befitting second-class citizens if not, beggars of their own hard work and toil.
  • Of the five presidential candidates, all the four candidates come from Imperial Manila and the Visayas for no other reason than Imperial Manila’s debilitating greed, and to perpetually chain to the quagmire of poverty Mindanaoans, a level lower even by a foundling which is non-existent in our own Constitution.
  • Finally, the tandem is the only team-up where the teeming millions of the poor are encouraged and empowered by joining our hand-to-mouth-generosity- caravan to ensure overwhelming victory of the charismatic and men of the hour Duterte-Cayetano tandem.

“You’re young only once, but you can be immature indefinitely.” – Oscar Wilde The argument monotonously raised by dismissed transition Mayor Oscar S. Moreno that the controversial tax amicable settlement entered into by city hall and the owners of Ajinomoto is without his knowledge and approval is clearly an open endorsement of the above quote by Oscar Wilde, an actor and namesake of OSM. If only to assure us all that OSM has remained immature and unfit to the exalted high office of the City Mayor of our City of Golden Friendship, Moreno openly confessed that he does not trust the city council. The newly organized FMM, a truly volunteer group (funding comes entirely from their own) aims to be the first and only project designed to assure the Filipino people that the 93,000 OMRs--the newly invented camouflage of the highly controversial PCOS (read: Oplan Mar Roxas and President Cory’s Only Son) prefaced by the unverifiable fabricated trending--“cannot stop the idea that has come of age”: a Mindanaoan President. God-willing, our Federal Mindanao Movement would touch base with all the poor Mindanaoans all over our archipelago starting next month using our very own God-sent-dream-come-true: “The hand-to-mouth-generosity,” the only alternative to vote-buying scheme perpetrated by Imperial Manila, the trapos and the filthy rich. Candidly, the FMM will do away with the callous tradition of  “buying of votes--giving out fish to the needy. Instead, we aim to inspire the poor to be dignified by self-sufficiency and not mendicancy. While money will flood in the 2016 elections, warm bodies coming from FMM would prevail by re-inventing People Power in the paradise islands of Mindanao-Sulu-Palawan-Tawi-Tawi Tsada, di ba.
