DIGOS City ― A joint team of police operatives and elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, Davao del Sur Field Unit swooped into the residence of a man accused of practicing dentistry without a proper license on Tuesday afternoon.

Lt. Colonel Hamlet Lerios, Digos City police chief identified the suspect as Arnold Estrada, 34, Purok Sambag, Ebrio Village, Barangay Tres de Mayo, Digos City resident.

Lerios said the operation was coordinated with Dr. Glicerio Suizo, Jr., the president of the Philippine Dental Association (PDA) with information about the illegal practice of dentistry, which violates the violation of RA-9484 or the Philippine Dental Act.

The report said a marked P500 bill was utilized by the poseur client wherein the suspect was caught red-handed.

Dental equipment and paraphernalia were seized from Estrada’s residence which is currently under the custody of the CIDG to be used as evidence in pursuing the case against the suspect.
