DIGOS City ― A 38-year-old self-employed man landed in jail for selling and possessing prohibited drugs to a police officer acting as poseur-buyer during a sting operation in Barangay Aplaya, this city.

Lt. Colonel Hamlet Lerios, Digos City police chief named the suspect as alias ‘Nasrodin,’ a resident of Clarion 2nd Street, Barangay Zone-2, Digos City.

The operatives comprising members of the city drug enforcement unit and intelligence unit of Digos City police station recovered the marked P1,000 bill used to buy a sachet of suspected shabu from Nasrodin.

Another four small sachets of the same substance were found and seized from the possession of the suspect, the police reported.

The cops said the total street value of the confiscated shabu was more or less P16,500.

Lerios said Nasrodin is among those within the list of Street-Level Individuals and Newly Identified Drug Personalities operating in the city.

He urged those who are still involved in the illegal drug trade to quit or the time will come the long arm of the law would reach them.
