My Maling was the opposite of those whom the Duke of Wellington called as “clever devils.” Actually 74 years prior to the birth of the Duke of Wellington, George Saville, Lord of Halifax, an English statesman and an author was already credited with having said that “Education is what remains when we have forgotten all that we have been taught.” To me, the statement explains why Bill Gates, the world’s wealthiest man is among the very few generous people of the world. Every time he shares his wealth with those in need, he gets wealthier. On the other side of the coin, watch how greed slowly but surely takes away from the affluent, the despots and the arrogant rulers the kind of happiness that only the children are endowed with. In fact, the more possessions and power that a filthy rich acquire, the more unhappy he becomes with unsurmountable problems only the wealthy are faced with. And, in most cases, the filthy rich are either violently overthrown from power and their bodies covered with their own blood or they end their endless miseries by self-inflicted wounds or suicide. Worst, we have seen and are witnesses to the split and break up of families, the most basic foundation of governance and happiness. So why does our government officials put premium on wealth and worldly possessions when happiness is for all, free and priceless? When shall we all learn our lessons in life? What I cannot fathom to this very day is why our own leaders, especially in the field of education, insist on adding more years in school for our young ones (K-12) when education in our country is well beyond the means of the many who are poor? Why can’t our government provide free education to all the poor from birth to death? When we, the sovereign, are collected unreasonable taxes from birth to death? It is high time, we, the sovereign, imposed our collective will on the Imperial Manila mentality, the trapos and the filthy rich. Let us all rise and regain our country from the clutches of the plunderers in government, the drug lords, queens and mules; and, the armed rebels kuno. We all know only too well that guns and bullets are the anathema to lasting peace, prosperity and happiness. •• In the most likely event that Davao City Mayor Rodrigo “Super Digong” Duterte becomes the President on May 9, 2016 either of our country or the Independent Federal Republic of Mindanao-Sulu-Palawan-Tawi-Tawi, these are what we can expect of him: • Strictly impose our God-given right to have a revolutionary government within the first six months of his term by abolishing Congress but encouraging free and independent (not owned by dummies) private media fairly competing with the government propaganda; • In the interregnum, adopt and implement a unique (true to our ideals and culture as Asians) federal-parliamentary government down to the lowest level of governance; • Simultaneously with the imposition of a revolutionary government, call for a Concon based on demographics and reorganizing the Comelec from top to bottom but providing employment to the good ones and forcing early retirement to the rest; • Wipe out (in the Bible, building a Noah’s ark and then having the floods; but certainly, there are more unique and humane ways of doing the cleansing in this day and age) plunderers, drug lords, queens and mules, and all the armed rebels kuno (as defined above; hence, allow and support unarmed rebels of all types): • Impose a gun-less society but provide free quality education to all walks of life from birth to death as well as provide for a free (at no cost whatsoever, and much better than in Rotary International), honest, transparent and credible simultaneous elections; and • Establish an independent Comelec composed of elected commissioners whose terms of office are co-terminus with all the other elected public officials. •• In the coming election period, as provided for by law, please allow me to beg the young and idealistic IT wizards to come up with Twitter and Facebook accounts for the awakened nitizens to instantly produce a kalyeserye-type of presenting the truth about our man, “Super Digong” Duterte, to ensure the landslide victory of the teeming millions of the poor from our Mindanao and elsewhere. Trust me, once we can do this the soonest, then all the stolen millions coming from our taxes and dubiously intended to buy the lucrative political survey takers kuno and the Comelec manipulators of the digital dagdag-bawas – the PCOS (President Cory’s Only Son) shall be history and the dawning of our dream of dreams for a New Order––equality among all, the poor and the rich and an ideal partnership between capital and labor––shall become a reality. Once more, allow me to repeat that by opening Twitter and Facebook accounts, “Du30AtoNi,” we can duplicate if not surpass, the 25.6 million record tweets of the “Aldub nation.” After all that “nation” is composed mostly of the poor, the deprived and the oppressed.
