FIRE struck and destroyed 15 houses in Purok 5, Gusa, this city, over the weekend
No one was reported hurt in the fire that broke out at around 1:35 pm on Saturday.
SFO2 Victor Naive saud investigators placed the structural damages at some P800 thousand.
The fire reportedly started at the second level of the house of Melinda Magbanua, and quickly spread because of the wind direction.
Naive said investigators have yet to determine what caused the fire that was put ou at around 2:55 pm.
The fire razed to the ground the houses of Antonio Surbano, Anvi Surbano, Arnold Surbano, Danilo Surbano, Federito Surbano, Arlando Surbano, Artemeo Surbano Jr., Eugene dela Rosi, Juan Lugod, Jonel Lugod, Ariel Lugod, Harold Lugod, Michael Lugod, and Benjie Navarra.
The families of Johnrey Busio, Jenelyn Belando, Ruby Pacheco, and Democreto Namocot who were renting houses were displaced.
Many of the fire victims sought shelter at the Gusa covered court.
