Butch Bagabuyo “We have two ears and only one tongue in order that we may hear more and speak less.”  – Diogenes PRECISELY because both our national and local governments are noisy, we have, for so long a time now, a government of noise but not a symphony. Day in and day out, our politicians open their mouths for more money for their pockets “pa more.” The teeming poor are left to themselves “pa more.” It is for this reason and more that every time our national government litter our dailies and pollute our air, more and more Pinoys are getting hungry but the pockets of our greedy trapos and the filthy rich are getting bigger and bigger. It is high time, we, the teeming poor, retake our government and elect a president who hates the presidency but loves his country and people so dearly. As Imperial Manila, the trapos and the filthy rich are spending the money they’ve stashed from our government coffers to pay off the lucrative social weather analysts kuno, we are now seeing a repeat of the 2010 presidential and local elections. At that time, this day, GMA and her spin doctors were pre-occupied with choosing an exceptional man:  Gibo, a well-gifted man as he was a bar topnotcher and well-provided, he being the son of a wealthy business cum politician parents. Otherwise stated, GMA’s man had what it takes to win. But he was so high up the man on the streets could not reach him. And so, the trapos at that time––who are still the very same kings and queens of darkness but, this time, with new collars and now known as the Liberal Party and the Hyatt 10––filled their own bank accounts, and left their man to himself. Not only that, they made sure that the pseudo political survey takers were well-fed, and their secret banks accounts were well attended to. When the kings and the queens knew that GMA’s personal choice was getting nowhere among the common tao, they slowly but surely switched to “Noypi,” not unlike what they are doing today: sending their top political magicians, bagmen, women and what-ya-ma-call’em to the Grace-Leni camps. Poor Mar and Chiz! Of course, what you are seeing today is the replica of what happened in the dying days of GMA. There was a daily avalanche of trapos plastering their happy faces on print and wide TV screens swearing allegiance to what is now known as the Liberal Party and pawns of the Hyatt 10. Wherever you go today, you see the trapos and hear them parrot the lingo of the “Aldub Nation.” They know that unless they can speak the words uttered by the common man on the streets, they cannot win their votes. Please don’t ever forget that these trapos are not out there to win your hearts. They only need your votes. Or even if you don’t give them your votes. They have the PCOS and the hackers or Comelec operators, if you may. As I’ve written the other day, unless one has billions of pesos, the presidency is an impossible dream and unreachable star. It is only for this reason that “Super Digong” Duterte does not aspire to become President of our country. But because we know that our man has done wonders in the biggest city of the world, Davao City, and remains untainted by corruption, he cannot turn his back to his people whom he loves so dearly. Our best proof that our country is in dire need of “Super Digong” is the undeniable fact that he is the only uninterested and undeclared “presidentiable” who has two of the strongest announced “vice presidentiables,” namely Sen. Bongbong Marcos and Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano. If elections were held today, “Super Digong” would win overwhelmingly simply because he is the only presidentiable who has the largest political base of 12.5 million of hungry, long abused and neglected voters. That is only from the paradise-like islands of Mindanao-Sulu-Palawan-Tawi-Tawi. If you add to that the 60 percent of the 10 million votes of the Visayans and another 60 percent of the no less than 20 million votes of the Cebuano-speaking common tao of Metro Manila, “Super Digong” will win by an avalanche of long neglected and overly abused common tao of Mindanao and the rest of the country. In the lingo of the Visayan gamblers, it is siete diez in favor of “Super Digong” versus Mar Roxas of Imperial Manila, who now pretends to be a Visayan only because his father came from there but who was the principal mess (others use the Mrs. for mess) of typhoon Yolanda. By the way, the foreign countries including China are now looking for their generous donations to the victims in Leyte, Bohol and elsewhere in the country. Paging Mar and Dinky! Now, going back to the vice presidential race. Here’s my take:
  • Among the contenders, only Bongbong Marcos has the largest political loyalists, closely followed by Alan Peter Cayetano, and because he is the only one who will lose a seat in the Senate if he does not make it, I would like to believe that this fact is the strongest motivation among the Marcos loyalists. Of course, the downside is that that there are still enough martial law victims who have remained uncompensated but must one convict the son for the crimes of his pa? Asa man ang hustisya!
  • The Armed Forces and the PNP will be divided by two sure losers: Honasan and Trillanes, hence, they would not have enough base. Further, both are no better than PNoy as far as achievements for their own constituents are concerned.
  • Finally, the so-called Bicolano block would be divided by Leni Robredo, Chiz Escudero, Allan Peter Cayetano, Honasan and Trillanes, in that order.
By any computation, “Super Digong” is a sure-winner simply because he does not need the country more than the country needs him badly. Grace Poe would not lose anything, as it were, because she would still be a senator after the May 9, 2016 elections. My only fear is that the unforgiving Imperial Manila, the trapos and the filthy rich might have ruined her future when she could have been the leading vice presidential contender had she been humble enough to learn the rope of the most difficult trade of all, the presidency. Let the “Aldub Nation” of the poor in our country––the unwashed, unschooled, perpetually abused and deprived but highly educated sovereign––converge on our own in Davao City on the 15th of this month, the eve before the first final deadline in the filing of the certificates of candidacy. There and then, let us all beg in unison and with gusto Davao Mayor Rodrigo “Super Digong” Duterte to save us all and our country from the culture of impunity by Imperial Manila, the drug lords, queens and mules and the shameless trapos by running for President with a complete line-up down to the last municipal councilor, the only way to stop digital dagdag-bawas. Kalyeserye pa more! Tsada, di ba?
