By LITO RULONA, Correspondent IN the next few days, the exclusive and big subdivisions here will have a taste of what Operation Tok-hang is, as the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) has targetted them in the next round of the massive anti-illegal drug campaign of the city. City Police Director Senior Supt. Faro Antonio Olaguera said they are now planning out the details on how to conduct the anti-illegal drug campaign in exclusive and big subdivisions where they suspect are areas where the most concentration of illegal drug distribution happen. However, Olaguera admitted that they find it hard to track down drug pushers who sell illegal drugs inside exclusive and big subdivisions. Olaguera made this comment after issues raised before the City Council’s Committee on Police, Fire and Public Safety that the on-going Operation Tok-hang were concentrated only on densely and depressed urban barangays in the city. Operation Tok-hang –– Toktok-hangyo (Knock-plead) –– is an idea of former Davao city police director and incoming PNP chief, Senior Supt. Ronald dela Rosa. “Wala may gipili ang balaod but in the case of these exclusive and big subdivisions we will coordinate first with the developers and subdivisions owners or we will work hand-in-hand with the subdivision homeowners’ association,” he said. Olaguera added they will inform subdivision homeowners about “Operation Tok-hang” by sending them leaflets about the city-wide anti-illegal drugs campaign which will also be asking them to stop using illegal drugs. Olaguera said he would wait for the creation of the presidential task force on anti-illegal drugs who will release the names of those suspected drug lords, pushers, courier and users who have been hiding inside posh subdivisions. “Those living inside subdivisions can coordinate with my office directly or to any police station commanders and voluntarily forwarded to clear their names. We have initial list of (drug personalities) in (these) areas,” he added. On Friday, police from various stations in the city have started knocking on doors of suspected drug pushers and have resulted in the turnover of more than 300 drug personalities in the city.
