Shiela Lumbatan, chief of staff at the city mayor’s office, emphasized the importance of enhancing the understanding of the rights and protection of vulnerable individuals through this training.

She stated that it was crucial for law enforcement officers to continuously learn and improve their abilities to ensure the city remains a safe and friendly environment for all children and women.

During his address, Raagas, speaking on behalf of Mayor Uy, stressed the need for participants to apply what they learned during the training to their daily duties.

He emphasized that the city’s commitment to maintaining and improving child-friendly projects and programs of the WCPD is paramount, ensuring a secure and nurturing atmosphere for the community.

Moreover, Raagas applauded the efforts of the Oro Youth Development Office in organizing the training event, acknowledging their dedication to ensuring that law enforcement officers are well-prepared to enforce child-friendly initiatives within the community.

In response to the training, Mayor Uy’s administration reiterates its unwavering commitment to prioritizing child-friendly efforts.

Emphasizing the significance of the police officers’ participation, Lumbatan expressed gratitude on behalf of the city, hoping that their increased capacity would contribute significantly to the enforcement of the child-friendly initiatives that aim to protect and uplift the community’s children and women.

As the mayor’s vision for a safe and inclusive city continues to guide his administration, the ongoing collaboration between the WCPD, Oro Youth Development Office, and law enforcement officers highlights the dedication of the city government to the well-being and welfare of its most vulnerable members.

Mayor Klarex Uy’s leadership and commitment to child-friendly projects and programs are reinforced by Raagas.

“The city administration strives to create an environment where children and women can thrive, protected by a dedicated and well-prepared police force,” said Raagas.

With the successful completion of the Capacity Development Training for Police Officers, the city takes another step forward towards its goal of providing a safe haven for all its residents.
