HAVE you ever wondered what’s on the plate of each working individual? More specifically, have you ever thought about what they eat for breakfast to boost their individual professional needs?

That’s what we’re going to talk about today. I’ve always wondered what each working person eats for breakfast as determined by their job requirements. Or brunch for those people who are on intermittent fasting.

The busy professionals. These are people who are always in a rush and busy. They need to catch the bus, the jeepney, the MRT, or they want to avoid traffic. Breakfast on the go is the answer. These are foods that are easy to prepare and consume. Convenience comes to mind, and coffee and a sandwich are perfect.

The mother. She could be a mother preparing breakfast for her kids and husband. A mother preparing school snacks for her kids needs to be creative. Otherwise, kids won’t eat it.

This mother is one busy person. She wakes up early to prepare breakfast for her family, and she also needs to prepare snacks for her kids to bring to school. Once the family has left, that’s the time she can have time for herself.

The singles. These are single individuals who prepare breakfast to bring to work. This breakfast food doubles as lunch, or we call it brunch. These are foods ready-to-cook, like tocino, tapa, eggs, bacon, etc. Another good idea would be reheating last night’s leftovers.

Let’s go further. How about those doing manual labor or those whom we call physical professionals? These are construction workers, athletes, traffic enforcers, disaster response personnel, or firefighters. They need all their energy. They need to fuel up their muscles. These people usually eat foods high in carbohydrates and protein.

The social professionals. These are teachers, sales officers, or psychologists. What do they eat to boost their empathetic nerves and their communication skills? Foods that are high in fiber and sugar would be good. The sugar rush has a positive effect.

The analytical professionals. These people need foods that nurture their concentration and mental skills. Cognitive skills, as we call it. Foods like eggs, lean meat, grains, and vegetables. The kind of foods rich in protein, B vitamins, and iron.

Let’s not forget the creatives. People who are writers, designers, or artists. They need foods that stimulate their imagination and boost their moods. I’m not saying they are moody, but most artists are, right?

Now that I’ve laid the ground, may I ask what’s on your plate? And please add your kind of work. Let’s do a check and balance.

Just a little disclaimer here. I’m not a nutritionist. These are all based on observations. In other words, another day of being an M.
