Digital lending platform Cashify is integrating artificial intelligence and third-party risk assessment data to evaluate borrowers as part of an effort to strengthen digital credit decisions in the Philippines.
As of July 2026, the platform recorded 3.29 million registered users and 527,000 borrowers. To manage credit evaluation at scale, Cashify relies on automated data systems combined with external credit intelligence.
To support its credit assessment framework, the platform utilizes credit-bureau scoring from CIBI Information, Inc. and telecommunications data through alternative scoring provider FinScore. The integration of telco data allows the platform to assess applicants who may lack conventional bank credit histories.
"Technology creates value when it helps us make consistent credit decisions, manage risk prudently, and strengthen our ability to serve customers," said Glenn Yves Berdan, finance head and treasurer of Cashify. "It should support responsible lending, not replace sound financial judgment and accountability."
Company officials emphasized that while automated processes help organize and analyze user data efficiently, final credit evaluations remain grounded in borrower repayment capacity and risk assessment standards.
Cashify is operated by SunLoan Lending Investors Corp., a firm registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC Registration No. CS201900565; Certificate of Authority No. 2872).
