CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Judokas from the Jasaan Judo Club (JJC) earned multiple podium finishes at the 5th Zamboanga Hermosa Invitational Judo Tournament in Zamboanga City.
The Misamis Oriental-based martial artists competed across youth, junior, and senior weight divisions.
Gold Performers
Terence Steve Neri led the team's performance, securing gold in the -55 kg junior and senior male division while adding a silver medal in the same weight class.
Alexis Ubalde won gold in the youth male category, competing across the -66 kg and 81 kg weight classes.
Vion Salvana earned gold in the -90 kg youth male division and added a silver medal in the +90 kg youth male category.
Additional gold medalists included Jared Dael (-55 kg youth male), Kent Gabunada (-60 kg junior and senior male), Keziah Rose Donato (-44 kg junior female), and Xyrul Matt Alay (-81 kg junior and senior male).
Medal Winners
Silver medals were earned by Jelean Macarayo (-48 kg youth female), Clark Laurence Dela Peña (-48 kg youth male), Alrey Cabingas (-50 kg junior male), and Enrique Onyot (-55 kg junior and senior male).
Rounding out the team's medal tally were bronze medalists Glenn Zyrus Quarteron (-50 kg youth male) and Janna Schreuder (-48 kg youth female).
Local Support
The team recognized the support of Jasaan Mayor Red Jardin, Rep. Yevgeny Vicente "Bambi" Emano, and the Misamis Oriental Provincial Sports Development Office.
Club officials also acknowledged event host Zamboanga City Judo Association and competing senseis for fostering sportsmanship throughout the invitational meet.
