THE Cagayan de Oro City Police Office yesterday morning awarded media outlets in the city for its contribution to keeping the city safe and peaceful.
City Police Director Senior Supt. Robert Roy Bahian said the awards and citations were for media outlets and media personalities who have exemplary conducted its role in aiding the police maintain peace and order in the city.
“Sometimes inakala natin na itong media ay makulit, sa iba kalaban but katulong natin ang media in the maintenance of peace and order,” Bahian said in a ceremony at Cocpo’s new headquarters in Barangay 40, this city.
The awarding ceremony is part of the Cocpo’s 22nd commemoration of Police Community Relation Month.
The media outlets that received plaques of commendation were Mindanao Gold Star Daily, Sun Star Cagayan de Oro, RMN dxCC, Bombo Radyo, Magnum Radio, Ultra, ABS-CBN Nothern Mindanao, TV5, and Marian Radio among others.
