By TENG LAUBAN DATU Cotabato City Bureau chief COTABATO City — The Philippine Drug Enforcement agency led by Director Jovenal Azurin intercepted a half kilo of shabu from Pigcawayan, Cotabato Tuesday which they alleged as owned by members of Moro Islamic Liberation Front. The police identified the suspects as Mohamad Makalipat, a certain Alamada, and Noraida Kato, all residents of Cotabato City. The shabu was recovered from the paper bag of bread which is estimated to be about P2.5 million. It was confiscated through an intensive operation by the PDEA enforcer joined by other agencies. Azurin told a local radio station that more than five grams of confiscated shabu from the suspects is considered as a non-bailable offense. The MILF hierarchy will conduct thorough investigation against the suspects despite of presenting their identification as member of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. MILF spokesman Von Alhaq told to this paper that prior to the Duterte administration to eradicate illegal drugs in the country, the MILF has already campaigned to the Bangsamoro areas to disengage the rampant of illegal drug.
