CAGAYAN de Oro City — Technology professionals, business leaders, government officials and startup founders from across Mindanao are expected to gather in Pagadian City for the 11th Mindanao ICT Conference (MINDACON 2026) on Nov. 9–11.
The three-day conference will be held at the Asenso Convention Center, focusing on how digital technology can help shape the region’s economy and public services.
Organized by the National ICT Confederation of the Philippines (NICP), the event carries the theme “Connect Mindanao: Shaping the Digital Future.”
The City Government of Pagadian and the Pagadian City ICT Council are hosting the conference in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology and the Mindanao Development Authority.
Sessions will cover digital governance, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, emerging technologies and technopreneurship.
Participants are also expected to discuss ways to prepare local workers for digital jobs, support startups and strengthen partnerships between government and private businesses.
Pagadian City Councilor Lance Samuel F. Co is scheduled to lead the acknowledgment of participants and ICT councils during the program.
Organizers said the segment will recognize the contributions of regional ICT councils, industry leaders and development partners to digital development in Mindanao.
MINDACON began in Zamboanga City in 2016 and has since been held in other Mindanao cities, including Dapitan, Butuan, Davao, General Santos and Koronadal. Virtual conference sessions were also held during the pandemic.
The Pagadian gathering aims to continue regional efforts to expand digital access and strengthen the technology sector across Mindanao.
