A 37-year-old unemployed person was arrested by authorities for violating the law of Anti-Violence against Women and their Children.
Provincial Police Director Raniel Balones of Misamis Oriental, identified the suspect as Albert Dawis, single, and a resident of Dapilan Rizal, Zamboanga Del Norte.
Selim was arrested by a joint operation by personnel of Lugait Municipal Police Station led by Police Major Ron Baba, Officer-in-Charge and elements of Regional Special Operation Unit 10 led by Police Major Ivan Charles Abastillas under the supervision of Police Col Vicente Cabatingan last Wednesday at 3:30 pm at P-Rizal, Barangay Poblacion of the said Municipality and province.
The operation was conducted by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Arthur Abundiente of the Regional Trial Court 10-Branch 44, Initao, Misamis Oriental with a recommended bail bond of P72,000.
The suspects are temporarily detained at Lugait Municipal Police Station mini-cell.
Valones commended the operating personnel for a job well done in the implementation of Letter of Instruction (LOI) Manhunt Charlie and encouraged the implementing personnel to continue its unwavering efforts to eradicate all forms of criminality within the province and keep on reinvigorating its anti-criminality campaign.
