By Edwin Iyo Correspondent Gingoog City — Police authorities here have arrested an alleged shabu pusher during a buy-bust operation by joint effort of  Gingoog Police Station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency at Purok 5 in barangay Pangasihan, this city on Monday. Senior Supt. Roel Lami-ing, Gingoog chief of police, identified the suspect as Virgilio Yandog, 50. He is the older brother of a barangay kagawad Timoteo Yandog of Barangay Pangasihan here said Lami-ing. Recovered during operation were cash amounting of P1,500 and one sachet of suspected shabu. Police also siezed a .45 caliber pistol with nine live ammunition, one unit. 45 caliber pistol sound supressor, one unit .22 caliber riffle with 22 live ammunition. All items recovered were through an issued seach warrant, Lami-ing added. In a phone interview, the younger Yandog confirmed that his older brother used to be a shabu before. “Nag-undang na siya tungod sa among mga advise,” he said. Criminal charges are being filed against the suspect for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
