By Edwin Iyo Correspondent Balingoan, Misamis Oriental — Boat trips to Camiguin has been resumed as PO3 Joel Mendez, substation commander of the Balingoan Coast Guard, here lifted the cancellation of trip at about 9 am, yesterday. Mendez confirmed there was a cancellation of trip to all passenger vessels going to Camiguin at about 7:50 am on Monday evening. He said the scheduled trip to Camiguin of 4:15 am, 5:15 am, and 7:15 am on Tuesday morning were delayed. “Pero wala namang pasaherong na stranded kahit delayed ang biyahe,” Mendez said. Mendez explained that all trips were automatically cancelled when the government weather bureau hoisted signal number one for Misamis Oriental. “Kahit na ang ang regular na scheduled ay galing 4:15 in the morning hanggang 5 pm in the afternon lamang patungong Camiguin mag i-instruct pa rin kami ng cancellation ng trip kung kinakaingan,” Mendez added. The regular daily trips schedule for the passenger vessels to Camiguin are as follows: 4:15am, 5:15 am, 7:15 am, 9:00 am, 10:15 am, 10:45 am, 1:45 pm, 2:50 pm, and 4:15 pm.
