ILIGAN City — The Third Party Monitoring Team (TPMT) is ensuring its value in the peace-keeping efforts, a former Assemblywoman, Bangsamoro Transition Commissioner and present leader of the Ranao Rescue Team (RRT), said.
Samira Gutoc-Tomawis who now prefers to be called an activist, told Media during a meeting of the TPMT that ensuring its value is one of the main concerns being constantly discussed.
She said all the members of the team are closely monitoring developments on the ground that may lead to further escalation of hostilities.
It was feared that the emergence of a group who called themselves Marawi Victims Movement may start another violent confrontations after end of the Maute crisis.
The TPMT is monitoring these incidents to enable those concerned to move in and make immediate peace-making actions.
Gutoc-Tomawis said TMPT appreciates the efforts of rescuers who brought out 17 hostages from the shrinking battle zones.
