EL SALVADOR city, Misamis Oriental — Police seized about 155 grams of suspected shabu worth an estimated ₱1.054 million and arrested a 44-year-old man during a search warrant operation in Barangay Cogon on Aug. 21.
The operation was carried out by personnel of the El Salvador City Police Station and the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company under a search warrant issued in connection with an alleged violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
According to Misamis Oriental Provincial Police Office Director Police Colonel Al M. Abanales, police recovered six large heat-sealed sachets containing suspected shabu.
Other items seized included lighters, aluminum foil, a belt bag and empty plastic sachets.
Police brought the suspect and the confiscated items to the El Salvador City Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.
Abanales commended the personnel involved in the operation and thanked the community for supporting the police campaign against illegal drugs.
Authorities said anti-drug operations will continue across Misamis Oriental.
