THE embattled principal of the City Central School has claimed that the teacher who accused him of sexual harassment is in hot water over her Facebook posts that supposedly put the public school in a bad light.
Dr. Arnold Tejero said this even as he strongly denied claims made by the 6th grade teacher “Leslie” (not her real name) that he repeatedly made sexual advances on her inside and outside his office.
Leslie faced the city council’s education committee on Saturday where she accused Tejero of sexual harassment. She also told the committee that she already filed a sexual harassment complaint against the principal before the Office of the Ombudsman.
Tejero called Leslie’s accusations “all lies and fabricated.”
He said the teacher knew that administrative charges were being prepared against her in connection with her Facebook posts that “humiliated” the school.
One post, according to Tejero, was about the garbage beside a classroom.
“Naulaw kita,” he said, threatening to bring the teacher to the ombudsman.
Tejero said he felt embarassed because a representative of the City Local Environment and Resources Office (Clenro) brought the matter to him.
“Nageklamo kanako tungod kay ngano i-Facebook man sila nga daghan man kuno sila og trabaho, and then makuha ra man unta kini,” Tejero said.
The Clenro is not directly handling garbage collection services in the city.
