By LITO RULONA Correspondent  LAND Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) assistant regional director Allan Guro is now serving as “caretaker” of the Board’s regional office here. Guro took over after LTFRB regional director Mandangan Darimbang stepped down on Wednesday. He retired after 29 years of serving as LTFRB director for Region 10. The LTFRB has yet to decide on Darimbang’s replacement. Guro, just like Darimbang, has been serving in the LTFRB regional office for 29 years. “Kami ni Director Darimbang ang pioneers sa LTFRB in 1987. I already served in the office for 29 years,” he said. Guro said he rose to become “caretaker” because there was no order from the LTFRB central office identifying Darimbang’s replacement. He said he had to being the second highest official in the LTFRB in the region. He said he would only monitor the flow of transactions in the LTFRB regional office, act on pending transactions, and confirm franchises. “Puede nato kana pirmahan ang confirmation, including those who filed for special permits like travelling outside the jurisdiction,” Guro said.
