Elements of the northern Mindanao Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA 10) headed by the Misamis Oriental and Bukidnon Province Special Enforcement Teams with direct supervision of Dir. Adrian G. Alvariño successfully conducted two separate buy-bust operations in two different provinces which resulted in the arrest of a high value and a target listed drug personalities and the confiscation of more or less P25 thousand estimated worth of shabu.
On Sept. 8, at around 3:50 pm, the Misamis Oriental Special Enforcement Team successfully conducted a buy-bust operation at Raagas Beach Resort in Barangay Bonbon, this city. In the evening of the same day, at 6:40 pm the Bukidnon Province Special Enforcement Team also conducted successfully a buy-bust operation at Purok 12, Barangay Casisang, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon province.
Alvariño identified the suspects as Irene Gabor, target listed drug personality, female, 39, married, and a resident of Raagas Beach Resort, Brgy. Bonbon, this city.
Confiscated from Gabor was one piece heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing 0.4395 grams with an estimated market value of P2,500.
Meanwhile in Bukidnon, Ivan Dazo a high value target and an employee of Malaybalay City Hall, male, 40, married and Semil Jun Minalabag, male, 28, single were arrested in a buy-bust operation. Both are residents of Purok 2, Airport Village, Barangay, Casisang.
Seized from the suspects were one medium-sized heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu, one big size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu, one medium-sized heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu wrapped in an HMW Lending Investor’s Receipt.
The drug items confiscated from the suspects weighed 4.4015 grams. Also confiscated were one Toyota Coralla with plate no. UJN 634, one P500 bill bearing serial number GQ573666 which was used as marked money, and various drug paraphernalia.
The drug evidence seized have bee forwarded to PDEA 10 Laboratory Section for quantitative and qualitative examinations, while the arrested suspects are temporarily detained at PDEA 10 detention cell for booking and documentation. Cases for violation of Republic Act 9165 are being prepared for filling. Both refused to comment on the arrest.
