By LITO RULONA, Correspondent The Office of the Ombudsman–Mindanao is set to issue a resolution of the case filed against controversial City Central School principal Arnold Tejero. This was disclosed by Officer-in-Chage of the Ombudsman Evaluation and Investigation Bureau - A Graft Investigation and Prosecution Officer III Hilde C. Dela Cruz-Likit in a two-page order. Likit has ordered both parties to submit their verified position papers within 10 days upon receipt in pursuant to Administrative Order (AO) Number 17, amending the Rule III of AO Number 7 providing for the Rules of Procedure of the Office of the Ombudsman. The order was in-line with the Grave Abuse of Authority and Grave Misconduct filed by Trixie (not her real name) a separate complaint for sexual abuse before the City Prosecutor’s Office (CPO) in the city. Earlier, Trixie asked the ombudsman to slap Tejero with a preventive suspension order to ensure an influence-free and smooth investigation into the case. Trixie said she feared that Tejero would exert influence and withhold documents under his direct control unless the principal of the governmentun school is suspended. She accused Tejero of causing her “irreparable damages due to wanton and malevolent acts,” and called what he allegedly did to her as grave abuse of authority and grave misconduct after she was allegedly tricking and bringing her to a motel in Barangay Kauswagan in May where he allegedly tried to be intimate with her. Trixie alleged that Tejero earlier offered her a space in the school canteen for free, and that he even went to the extent of offering more help so she could find capitalization for her planned sherbet business. The Ombudsman in the order told Trixie to submit position papers that shall contain only those charges, defenses and other claims contained in the affidavit and pleadings filed by her. “Any additional relevant affidavits and or documentary evidence may be attached by the complainant to their position paper. On the basis of the position papers, affidavits and other pleadings filed, this Office may consider the case submitted for resolution,” part of the Likit order said.
