By LITO RULONA Correspondent CITY Central School principal Arnold Tejero has accused the mother of the 5th grader, who filed a complaint for lascivious conduct against him, of extortion. Tejero’s allegation is contained in a two-page affidavit submitted by the principal to the City Prosecutor’s Office that is looking into the complaint filed by the mother. Tejero maintained that it was Trixie (not her real name) who wanted to talk to him in a “secret place” about alleged irregularities in the school in May. Dr. Tejero said Trixie went to see him in his office at the City Central School at around 8 am on June 22, 2016 to ask him for P5 thousand. He said it was to follow up what she asked from him in May. In an earlier interview, Tejero said Trixie asked the amount from him in a motel room but he declined to give her any. It was unclear if Tejero gave Trixie the money in June 22. But he stated that he gave the woman unused office supplies like paper clips, fasteners, pencils, a pen and ruler for her daughter’s use. He argued that his acts do not jibe with Trixie’s accusation of acts of lasciviousness against him. Tejero said the accusations were “baseless and concocted facts” designed to destroy my name “as a crusader of reforms.” The principal claimed to have initiated reforms in the school, and people whose toes he supposedly stepped on had an ax to grind against him. In an earlier interview, he blamed his subordinates for his legal troubles. Tejero has found an ally in his assistant principal, Rudy Villalobos, who stated that he saw the woman seeing Tejero in his office in the morning of June 22. Villalobos said he asked the woman about her purpose and she allegedly told him that she was there to “follow up” a personal matter. “Tejero told me that the said woman was the one demanding for P5 thousand and told me just to let her enter. Several minutes (later), the woman went out of Tejero’s office; she brought with her a brown envelope,” he said. Tejero also claimed that it was Trixie who requested to have a “selfie” with him inside Resonance motel (formerly Renaissance). He said the circumstances like when they left the motel together and that he drove her to Centrio Mall don’t figure in Trixie’s accusations. He said Trixie even sent him a text message on June 19, 2016 to greet wish him a happy Father’s Day.
