By LITO RULONA Correspondent EMBATTLED City Central School principal Arnold Tejero is thinking positive--he maintains a sliver of hope even as he revealed his plans to file countercharges against teachers whom he has blamed for his legal woes. Dr. Tejero said the string of complaints filed against him were due to the disciplinary measures he put in place in the region’s most populous public school, and that a group of teachers were behind the lawsuits. “On our part, gamay pa lang gyud among ma-file. Other charges are yet to be filed. I admit that we need more evidence that would surely remove a public school teacher connected to an organization,” Tejero said. He said he would charge teachers who accused him of making sexual advances. He said the administrative cases would soon be filed against the teachers before Christmas day. Tejero, charged with misconduct and of lasciviousness by the mother of an elementary grader who alleged that she was brought to a motel, also welcomed the investigation started by the Office of the Solicitor General, saying the move was to his favor. Early this week, OSG consultant Romeo Maganto led a group to the public school in order to look into the complaints against Tejero. Tejero called it a “welcome development,” adding that it would give him the opportunity to air his side and defend himself. He has also welcome the inquiry of the city council’s committee on education. “I am happy, and I feel privileged nga gi-anhi-an gyud ko sa representative of the solicitor general. Wala kami kahibalo, and we are surprised. Tungod kay ako man ang principal, I obliged myself to see to it that I know what is happening inside the campus,” Tejero said. He said it was a “blessing in disguise” that the OSG has decided to look into the complaints against him. “Makapadala na unya kami sa akong side of the story on what has been happening inside,” he said.
