TWO municipal employees in Bukidnon assigned at the rescue team office were arrested by authorities in a buy-bust operation this morning.
Police Col. Jun Mark Lagare, Bukidnon Provincial Director, identified the suspects as Ronaldo Ybañes, 41, married, a resident of Zone 7, Barangay Lingion; and John Rowe Dueñas, 35, married, a resident of Isabel Village, Barangay Tankulan, both of the said town.
The suspects are connected with the local government unit as rescue personnel.
They were nabbed by operatives of Bukidnon Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit led by Police Capt. Alvin Jay Dacillo together with Manolo Fortich police at Purok Kalanawan, Barangay Tankulan of the same municipality.
Confiscated from them were five sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, a P500 bill, several drug paraphernalia, and some personal belongings.
The suspects are now under the custody of Manolo police.
