THREE barangays in Talisayan town will be the target beneficiaries of a P40-million upgrading water system project.
In a phone interview this morning, Mayor Rico Taray said the project will serve the people in the hinterland villages of Macopa, Kasibole, and Mandahilag in the coastal area.
He said the water system upgrading is one of his administration’s priority projects.
“Mao nga ako gayod paningkamutan nga ma abunda puhon ang panubig sa lungsod,” Taray added.
For his part, Macopa Barangay Chairman Regie Maestrado said that although his barangay already has an ample supply of water, the water system upgrading project is greatly appreciated because it will also benefit neighboring barangays.
“Abunda na dayon mi sa tubig puhon,” he added.
Taray said the project will lift the water system of Macopa, Kasibole, and Mandahilag to a “level three.”
“Boot sabton (nga) mosaka na ang tubig (sa) matag panimalay,” the town mayor said.
He said the project, which will be started this year, is initiated through the efforts of Misamis Oriental 1st District Rep. Christian Unabia.
