NORTHERN Mindanao social welfare department (DSWD-10) has already distributed P18.1 million to some 3,030 waitlisted family beneficiaries of the government’s Social Amelioration Program (SAP) as of July 15.
The DSWD-10 prioritized the geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDA) of Bukidnon and Misamis Oriental.
About P13.7 million was disbursed in Bukidnon with 2,297 beneficiaries from the 39,521 target families. Misamis Oriental with 55,623 target beneficiaries, 733 families were served with P4.3 million disbursements.
For the five provinces in the region, DSWD-10 targets 150,099 beneficiaries with a total budget of P900 million.
As for the first tranche of SAP implementation, the field office already disbursed P3.75 billion covering 625,580 beneficiaries.
In preparation for possible augmentation of relief goods or supplies for the affected communities especially in this time of the pandemic, DSWD-10 has total stockpiles and standby funds amounting to P83 million.
Meanwhile in an earlier report, DSWD-10 is still in the process of ridding double entries in its list of social amelioration program (SAP) beneficiaries for the second release of SAP funds. (Recthie Tolinero/PIA10)
