IN a thoughtful gesture to assist the residents of Barangay Isagani S. Cruz in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental, the Aghasa-a Eagles Club, under the Northern Mindanao Region (NMR)-12 Bagwis Dos of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, organized a free legal counseling and notary service event, along with other legal services.
The initiative aimed to offer legal guidance and support to community members in need, according to Club President Eagle Ronald A. Ronquillo.
Families seeking legal advice found a helping hand, while children were not left out, as a feeding program was also arranged on Saturday, May 25, 2024, starting at 8 am.
Nearly 20 individuals took advantage of the free legal counseling, while more than 50 children and adults benefited from the feeding program, enjoying a complimentary lunch provided at the event.
The turnout highlighted the importance and relevance of such community-driven initiatives.
The event saw the active participation of the barangay and Sanguniang Kabataan councils, led by Barangay I.S. Cruz Chairman Michael Cailing, who ensured the smooth facilitation of the program.
Members of the Aghasa-a Eagles Club, including officers and volunteers, worked tirelessly to make the event a success.
Under the leadership of NMR-12 Bagwis Dos Governor Eagle Eric Daabay and Club President Ronquillo, the Aghasa-a Eagles Club demonstrated its commitment to the well-being and empowerment of the community.
Their efforts were complemented by the presence of local law enforcement, with personnel from the Misamis Oriental Provincial Police Office (MOPPO) ensuring the security and orderliness of the venue.
Eagle Ronquillo stressed that the collaborative effort between various stakeholders, including community leaders, volunteers, and law enforcement, exemplified the spirit of unity and service in Barangay I.S. Cruz.
"Through initiatives like these, the Aghasa-a Eagles Club continues to make a positive impact on the lives of residents, fostering a sense of support and solidarity within the community," said NMR-12 Bagwis Dos governor Daabay.
