A TOTAL of P4 million worth of suspected shabu was recovered by authorities from a Gingoog resident during an entrapment operation yesterday afternoon.

Police Col. Aaron Mandia, Cagayan de Oro City Police Office director, identified the suspect as Jonel Curay, single, and a resident of Purok 6, Barangay 26 of the said city.

He was arrested by Cocpo personnel assigned at police station 8, Lumbia led by Police Maj. Aldrin Baculio in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-10 at Masterson Avenue of the said barangay at 3:50 pm.

Prior to the arrest, a poseur buyer was able to buy a sachet of shabu from the suspect worth P3,500.

In further search, authorities confiscated six more large heat-sealed transparent plastic cellophane containing suspected illegal drugs with a total estimated weight of 600 grams and an estimated street value of P4,080,000; and buy-bust money.

The suspect is currently under the custody of Lumbia station.
