FOUR unemployed persons were arrested after they were caught in the act of stealing copper wires in a multi-steel company in Iligan City yesterday in the early morning.
Police Col. Dominador Estrada, Iligan City police office director, identified the suspects as Jomary Pitogo, 26, single, a resident of Sta. Felomina; Ivan Elmer Pangalo, 25, single; Edmer Logibear, 29, single, both residing at Timoga, Buru-un; and Jovannie Pitogo, 18, single, and a resident of Sta. Felomina, all of the said city.
According to the police report, the suspects were nabbed by company security personnel in the act of taking the wires worth P3,300 placed inside the premises of National Steel Corporation located at Barangay Suarez at 4 am.
They then called up the police and turned over the suspects.
The suspects and the confiscated evidence were brought to the Iligan police headquarters for documentation and filing of appropriate charges.
