A passenger canvasser and a parking boy were arrested for illegal possession of drugs in an entrapment operation yesterday at 7:30 am.
Provincial Police Director Jun Mark Lagare identified the suspects as Eric Jhon Flores alias “Totong,” 27, and Melvin Dungoya alias “Adoy,” 20, both are living with their live-in partners,
According to the responding policemen, Flores, a canvasser, and Dungoya, a parking boy was caught in the act of using a substance believed to be shabu.
A certain Ritchel Sagde alias “Jun-Jun” eluded arrest and managed to escape bringing with him the buy-bust money this, upon sensing that the person he was transacting is a police officer.
Lagare said the operation was conducted by Valencia City Police Station headed by Police Lt. Jonel Antique, together with Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit and Regional Special Operation Unit-10 at Barangay Poblacion of the said city.
Seized from the suspects were five small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with an estimated street value of P10,200, and several drug paraphernalia.
The suspects are now detained at Valencia police mini-cell awaiting the filing of appropriate charges against them in court.
