TWO habal-habal drivers were arrested for illegal possession of drugs during a buy-bust operation last Sunday.
Police were able to recover from the suspects a substance believed to be shabu with a total value of P292,000.
Police Col. Dominador Estrada, Iligan City Police Director, identified the suspects as John Rivelle Mancao, 29, single, and Nelson Mancao, Jr., 25, single, and both residing at Zone Orchids, Barangay Suarez of the said city.
They were arrested by police operatives assigned at Station Drug Enforcement Unit led by Police Lt. Vladimir Tenorio while at Purok 13-A, Barangay Palao at 9:23 pm.
A total of 43 grams of drug items were recovered from the suspects.
After the operation, the suspects were brought to the said police station for proper disposition.
A case for violation of Section 5, 11, and 12 of Article II of RA 9165 is being prepared for filing in court against the suspects, who are temporarily detained at the police custodial facility.
