A Bukidnon farmer who was once arrested for illegally possessing drugs but had availed of the government’s plea bargaining agreement was again nabbed for the same offense yesterday afternoon.

Police Col. Jun Mark Lagare, the police provincial director, identified the suspect as Jose Palec, married, and a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Bangahan, Pangantucan of the said province.

The suspect was arrested by personnel assigned at Don Carlos Municipal Police Station with Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit, and other operating units at Purok 5, Don Carlos Norte of the same province at 4:30 pm.

Confiscated from the suspect were three sachets containing a white substance believed to be shabu with an estimated value of P16, 000, several drug paraphernalia, personal belongings, and P2,062 cash of different denominations believed to be proceeds of illegal drugs, and a Yamaha sniper bearing a temporary plate no. 1001-546050.

Police said the suspect had already been arrested for the same offense and availed of the plea bargaining agreement of the Department of Justice.

The suspect is temporarily detained at Don Carlos custodial facility for proper disposition.
