A former member of the Civilian Volunteer Organization in Bukidnon is now languishing in jail due to cases of murder, frustrated murder, and attempted murder filed against him.
Police Col. Jun Mark Lagare, the province’s [rovincial [olice director, identified the suspect as Ramil Bahian, 47, married, and a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Maraymaray, Don Carlos of the said province.
He was arrested by personnel from the 2nd Bukidnon Police Mobile Force Company led by Police Lt. Diore Ragonio, together with Malaybalay City Police Station, Bukidnon Police Intelligence Unit, and the Regional Special Operation Unit 10, yesterday at 1:30 pm.
The suspect, who is the 9th most wanted person at the provincial level, was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of arrest for six counts of murder charges issued by Judge Isobel Barroso of the Regional Trial Court-10, Branch 8, Malaybalay City on July 17, 2017, and October 10, 2018. The judge recommended the suspect have no bail bond.
Another warrant of arrest for the same offense was issued by Judge Emmanuel Pasal of RTC-10, Branch 38, Cagayan de Oro City on March 13, 2015. The suspect was again not allowed to post a bail bond.
For the frustrated murder, the suspect was allowed by Judge Theresa Camannong of RTC-10, Branch 9, Malaybalay City to post a bail amounting to P200,000.
For the attempted murder, the same Judge recommended him to put up a bail amounting to P120, 000.
Bahian is now temporarily under custody by Malaybalay police for proper disposition.
