DIGOS City ― Three drug personalities make it to the list of arrested persons in different parts of the region, this week which includes an out-of-school youth, a 59-year-old woman, and a painter.

Lt. Colonel Hamlet Lerios, Digos City police chief reported that a joint buy-bust operation conducted at Miral Street, Barangay Zone-1 was launched at about 1:07 am on May 30 resulting in the arrest of Brian Tañeca.

Tañeca is a resident of Barangay Zone-2, Digos City, and is categorized as a street-level individual (SLI) and newly identified drug personality (NIDP) in the PNP-PDEA watch list.

Three sachets of suspected ‘shabu’ were seized from the suspect including the buy-bust item with a total weight of 1.09 grams estimated at P16,350 in street market value.

P/Major Jake Goles, Sasa police station commander also arrested Avelyn Paraiso Tan, 59, a resident of Purok-5A, Pagasa, Bangkerohan, Davao City during a buy-bust operation that took place at around 6:25 pm on May 29 at Cabayugan 3, Kilometer 11, Sasa, Davao City.

The operatives seized a single sachet of suspected shabu weighing 0.65 grams with an estimated street market value of P10,400.

On the other hand, PLt/Colonel Ernesto Gregore, Mati City police chief arrested a painter categorized as a street-level individual on May 25 through a buy-bust operation at Madang, Barangay Central, Mati City.

Gregore identified the suspect as alias ‘Heman,’ 28, a resident of Batman Village, Barangay Dahican, Mati City, Davao Oriental.

Two sachets were seized from Heman, while another sachet was in the possession of the poseur-buyer who successfully bought the prohibited substance during the operation, the report said.

A total of more or less 0.3 grams of prohibited drugs with an estimated street market value of P20,000 were confiscated from the suspect.

All the suspects are currently charged with violating RA 9165 and placed under the custody of the concerned police stations.
